Losing Weight Eating Chocolate
I must apologize if you appeared here thinking that there was some new wonderful weight loss diet that would allow you to lose weight by eating chocolate and drinking Pepsi.
PLEASE do not stop reading because I want you to STOP looking for some miracle weight loss magic thingamajig pill. I am not going to tell you that you have to lose weight, but if your computer monitor brought you here then chances are you have manifested this moment through your thoughts and desires. You are here now at this point in time because of your desire to shed some of your flab. Maybe you want to lose twenty pounds or one hundred pounds. Whatever your goal is you need to realize and accept two important things.
1) Weight loss is something that has to be earned and all the gizmos in the world are not going to help you unless you are willing to help yourself. Weight loss begins by eating less calories than you burn through the course of your life. You over-eat you gain weight. You exercise more and you burn more calories then you lose weight. There is no such thing as spot reducing. You can not “target” weight loss in your abs or your buttocks. You can only lose weight over your entire body. You shed weight like an unlit candle melts in the hot sun. Save your money on all the diet pills and all the equipment that say you can lose wight by only working out for 90 seconds a day. If you really want to lose weight you need to commit yourself to a plan of eating less and exercising more. If you decide to not do this then that is alright. Just stop spending your money on ANY diet pills. I say ANY diet pills because of the same reasons for avoiding fad diets, as listed in reason number 2.
2) Fad diets do not work in the long run because they are not what people can stick with for the rest of their life. How many people tried to avoid carbohydrates to lose weight? Sure you drop a few pounds and think it is great. Then along comes the forbidden pasta or the delightful donut and WHAM! Your “diet” is devastated. The fundamental problem is that you need to stop going on a “diet” because a diet is not something you can stay on for the rest of your forever. When you start a “diet” you have an end date, more often than not, delineated by a goal weight. So, what happens when your reach your goal? Do you stop what you were doing on your “diet” and then gain all your weight back again? Sadly, this is all to often the scenario that is played over and over again in many people’s day to day existence.
The secret to true weight loss is not some pill or diet plan. What you need to accomplish is an entire change in your lifestyle. This way when you drop that 100 pounds you do not just gain it all back again. You need to create a plan that will allow you to have that chocolate or that Pepsi every now and then. What is important is that you are able to lose weight slowly and consistently. What you need to do is educate yourself, just as you are doing now. You need to build up the resolve to skip the magic pill and the fad diet. You need to skip the diet and learn to start a “live-it”.
So you see, you really can lose weight eating chocolate and Pepsi. You just have to learn to squeeze it in among the healthy things in your life. Skip the “diet” and learn to live.
Bowel Movement 101A – Colon Cleansing
If you have been thinking of cleansing your colon or detoxing your colon and have seen all those nasty things that drop out of your anus do not spend one penny. Save your money. I am not selling a product here for you to use so if you are looking for a colon cleansing kit you will not find one here and you most definitely will NOT find me selling it on my website listed below.
If you have looked to “cleanse your colon” you more than likely have seen the photographs of extremely nasty things that people claim they have excreted. I have no doubt that those people you see are really showing you what came out of them and was deposited in the toilet. What you see did come out of them and it has nothing to do with “cleansing”. It is all really a marvel of marketing and millions are falling for it each and every day.
Here is the entire story. You see photographs of what you are told resides in YOUR colon. Then you are told that if you buy a product you too will have “that” come out of you. Then you purchase the product and you have to mix a powder and drink it every day for about a week. After a week or so, you excrete the nasties you see in the pictures. Oh yes, you too will excrete the “nasty”, but the catch is the powdered drink is what created the “nasty” in the first place. It is brilliant!! They create a need and sell you a product and then the product not only CREATES the problem, but then provides you proof that the “problem” has been fixed. Your toilet will even show you the proof and you will tell all your friends.
Save your money, it all is a complete waste of time, money and effort. Brilliant for the people who are getting rich, but a waste of time for every one else.
Soda Was a Habit of Obesity
I was overweight for many years and now that I am thinner I am looking back on the habits I need to breakl to help keep the weight off for the rest of my life. Looking back on my personal history I remember my father had worked for Pepsi Cola for over thirty seven years. He did this day in and day out while we lived near Long Island City, New York. I have many memories of him leaving for work or meeting him at the subway station on his way home. He was a fiercely loyal man to Pepsi, he would not even allow Coke products into our home. He was loyal in a time when companies were loyal to their employees through pensions and such.
One thing I took into adult life is my love for Pepsi. I would rather have a Pepsi on a hot day even more than water. I would drink it at dinner and I would drink it pretty much whenever. I enjoy it much more than even beer to the dismay of some of my friends.
This may seem elementary, but Pepsi is part of what made me fat. I was no longer running in the street of my youth playing tag. I am now forty five years old and to exercise I need to go to the gym. As my wife and I started our journey to a healthier lifestyle I decided that I needed to drink more water and cut back on all the soda, or pop, as they call it here in the Southern USA.
This may seem like a no brainer, heck I know it is a no brainer. Cut out the soda and drink more water. I have heard and read it many, many times. So have you! I did this and in ten days I lost over ten pounds. I no longer feel bloated and no longer do I feel as if a penny is not worth picking up because my belly is in the way. You need to even cut out the diet soda as this is not healthy either.
So, if you are serious about losing weight let me help you hear it one more time. Cut out the soda and drink more water. It will be the easiest ten pounds you ever lost. I will also suggest yo cut out the diet sodas also. Granted they are much better for you, but they are still not that great. The sodium content is not good and if you MUST have one, I suggest you only drink one daily.
Whatever your situation, I suggest you evaluate your life and start thinking about some of the things have have helped you become obese because those habits need to be addressed to help you stop the cycle. The habits I speak of could be as simple as salting your food before seasoning or way too much ketchup on your food. Only you know your habits and only you can break those habits.
If you want to lose weight…stop and evaluate and make some adjustments to get on the road to thinness.
