Story of Cosmetics, The Critique
This is a Critique of, “The Story of Cosmetics,” by Annie Leonard youtu.be . I previously debunked her video titled, “The Story of Stuff.” That four-part series can be seen below along with other links for references. “The Story of Cosmetics,” is either dishonest, or Annie is unaware of an FDA study that debunks most of what she claims. (See Critique below) Part 1 www.youtube.com Part 2 www.youtube.com Part 3 www.youtube.com Part 4 www.youtube.com I challenge Annie to a debate: www.youtube.com Glenn Beck Interview: www.youtube.com Lou Dobbs Interview: www.youtube.com FDA and Lipstick: tinyurl.com Stats.org A health scare that stinks: stats.org
@evilmasterstudios Listen, there is a difference between using chemicals correctly, using chemicals for your condition, using chemicals under doctor supervision… and misusing chemicals and HURTING yourself. I don’t see why you can’t comprehend that. Women misuse these chemicals all the time and end up bald or skin damaged. Its real whether you understand it or not.
You obviously just enjoy talking on youtube. I’ve made it clear that the issue with those products is their misusages.
@quitejaded Are you getting dizzy yet? Here you are once again going around in circles. But off hand If that were truly the issue then why don’t you make your own video about MISUSE and how it can HURT you. Leave this one out of the mix and make an educational vid on what women do wrong, and how to avoid these issues. I’ll even give it a thumbs up and leave a sincere “nice guy” comment.
until then I will continue to answer comments directed to me no matter how annoying it is to either party.
@quitejaded good then send the video to me when your done. I’m a man of my word.
I remember fully well, but I commented to you because making comments about not knowing how to use a product was NOT the subject in the vid makers video. because what this video has rounded out to was CORRECT usage has no cancer ridden backlash.
SO to anyone else reading I’ll say Use your relaxers and bleachers correctly and for heavens sake, don’t eat them.
@evilmasterstudios But in response to that, I say that it is VERY easy for women to misuse the products and that is the point of my concern. Most women who use the products are uneducated on how corrosive they are and damaging they can be. The end result can be bad for some women. Also, the same uneducated women are applying these products on their small children. This is my concern.
i thought u were clever but ur a fool. fertility is declining rapidly. think about it. think about it. we didn’t evolve to put this shit on our bodies. very very very stupid.
Annie reminds me of the type of idiot who joined Greenpeace years ago because she wanted to ban Chlorine. She’s another Progressive who wants our lifestyle to progress all the way back to 1850 levels. Her flawed logic is more toxic than any product she mentioned.
@quitejaded just send me the video, and you accuse me of just liking to talk on youtube.
@quitejaded I just think that it’s unfair that they’re allowed to sell something as a blatant lie. In other industries, you’re not allowed to get away with that, hype or not. I just think that people deserve to be sold a product that does exactly what it claims to do. Though less serious, it reminds me of snake oil salesmen.
@realscience1
I am no scientist, but if i had to guess i would say fertility is decreasing because many women are choosing not to have children
“i guess we could spend so much money on testing that only the very wealthy could afford the products” – I disagree.
@evilmasterstudios I will send it to you when I’m done. It is a tutorial on how to get healthier results with your relaxer and how to choose the right relaxer for your hair type. In the mean time, I have uploaded a simple make up look (peaceudo)
@john146only
It’s terrifying, isn’t it?
@elsquibbs
Progressives want the rest of society to live in the stone ages economically while they get to live the lifestyles of the rich and famous.
@sabelmouse
You have no room to call me a spammer when you’re claiming that all of these chemicals are so harmful for us.
Does that mean dihydrogen monoxide is bad for us?
@quitejaded ok, but just a warning, don’t be surprised If I don’t get it. I’m a guy afterall.
@USAGymnast
You are correct. Al Gore galavanting around the globe in his private jet, telling us “common folk” how we need to curtail our energy consumption (lining his pockets with $billions in the process) while he uses enough energy to power a small nation comes to mind. “Do as I say…” and all that stuff.
@robman8855
“… selfconcerned egocentrics…”
You basically proved his point with that statement.
@HowTheWorldWorks What do you think about Annie Leonard’s video on “The Story of Bottled Water?” Do you plan on doing a critique about that?
It’s truly insulting when someone like this puts out a video, talking as if she’s communicating to 7 year old children, with cartoons to go along with it. This whole scare tactic thing is getting ridiculous. They’re scaring people into different lifestyles, even though their lifestyles in the first place were fine. Then on top of it, because of supply and demand, people who don’t buy in to it are sometimes FORCED to buy these worthless “green” products.
She likes talking about “choice”, but don’t you like how she says, “The most important choice will have already been made [for you].” Yes, indeed; the government making all the choices for you, so that you don’t have to make them for yourselves. Stop thinking; stop talking; start obeying. Everyone [in charge] will be happy.
Jesus i get tired of hearing people say “this causes cancer” or “this is linked to cancer” it’s stupid. You eat hundreds of things that can potentially cause cancer every day. Shit damn near anything can either be carcinogenic or toxic at the right levels. There’s a reason people going into pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, or medicine have to learn the concept of dosages. Your body is carrying around arsenic in it right now, better run along and get some witch doctor to “cleanse” you.
