Why is this video 8 min?
I can’t wait for that. Too bad.
@dannyboy87123 The problem with organic is that every crop will be different, so you get a different product every time and you can’t adjust your process to ensure uniformity. Most consumers like to have a product the same every time they buy it. Plus, we have to remember that “things” go off – whether it’s natural, botanical, organic, etc. A preservative still has to be used. These are the problems that formulators come across all the time.
@jane16darko You hit the nail on the head.
ewww at corporate lobbying.
@wtftable1 You were all good up until the appeal to…actually I don’t know what you were appealing to there. “Get a clue people…do you really think that stuff like baby shampoo is toxic?”
Yeah, maybe. Would you really put it past big corporations to allow toxic amounts of certain chemicals into their formulas if it means cutting costs? I’m not saying that’s necessarily the case, but it’s not like “Duh, obviously that not true.”
Baby shampoo may not be toxic, but that’s not that farfetched.
@SimonSays5995 That is soooooooo not how your immune system works. Chemical compounds are not living cells (like bacteria) or organic matter (like viruses). The only way we “deal with” a killer amount of any particular chemical is that everyone dies off except for the people whose bodies are already tolerant of the chemical.
Now, obviously, that’s not what’s happening with these products, but your understanding of the immune system is alarming. Who the hell taught you biology?
@Albyiscool Are you referring to that creepy idiot that went on about how the Third World should be thanking us for giving them the opportunity to raise their standard of living from shitty to slightly-less-shitty? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not on the side of Anne Leonard either (I know when someone’s BSing), but HowTheWorldWorks is the greater of two evils here. Or at least the fuller of shit.
and yet if i get caught smokin weed i go to jail
another facepalm video. Can’t wait for Lee’s slaughtering of this garbage.
i love how she turns off top comments because the top comments were ripping on her video
omg so boring………..
JASON is controlled by HJ Heinz, although owned by Hain Celestial. Tom’s of Maine sold out to Colgate for $100million. Burt’s Bees was purchased by Clorox for $913million. Buy small company products!
@T3ckno93 – There is a fallacy in your argument. You fail to make a point with your random nonfactual factoids Here’s a random fact for you. The largest source of radiation is the sun. Also Botox is not spider venom, it is a weakend form of botulinum, a bacteria that causes botulism. It is known in history from killing hundreds before it was understood that sterilization was needed to can food.
@T3ckno93 -What does legislating that manufacturers have to disclose ALL Ingredients in a bottle have to do with not thinking?
The skin is the human body’s largest organ. The skin also absorbs chemicals & drugs (think birth control & nicotine patch). The government should be regulating what chemicals goes into our bodies unbeknownst to us. By your logic the government should go back to not regulating cigarettes& let them go back to using additives in cigarettes to make them more addictive.
You can get cancer from ANYTHING these days. Even turning on the lights in the bathroom at night.
@drcatellino Good point, but where are your sources for the mortality rate of “typical” north-americans. I’d like to see what sample that rate includes – or excludes.
